Magic rules the island. Revenge stirs the seas. Forgiveness changes everything.

When the exiled magician Prospero summons a violent storm to bring his enemies to his enchanted island, spirits, lovers, and fools become entangled in a journey of justice, wonder, and second chances. Shakespeare’s beloved masterpiece blends breathtaking poetry, humor, romance, and spectacle into a timeless story that continues to captivate audiences.

Experience this enchanting tale under the open sky in ACT Players’ outdoor production of The Tempest. Bring a blanket or lawn chair, settle in beneath the stars, and enjoy an unforgettable evening of live theater.

Admission is pay what you wish, making this magical experience accessible to everyone. Whether you’re a lifelong Shakespeare fan or discovering the Bard for the first time, all are welcome.

Rain or shine, the show goes on! In the event of inclement weather, performances will be moved indoors to the Community Room at the park.

The Tempest includes a simulated storm, theatrical combat, themes of revenge and forgiveness, and Shakespeare’s original language. As this is an outdoor performance, there may also be amplified sound, changing weather, and the occasional curious squirrel who thinks they belong in the cast.

Approximately 2 hours and 20 minutes (including a 20 minute interval).

We’ll start checking guests in approximately 30 minutes before the performance.

However, the park is open to the public all day, so if you arrive three hours early with a blanket, snacks, and the determination of a theater kid on opening night… we fully support your choices.

Yes! Our box office accepts donations before the show. Unlike Prospero, we don’t demand a ransom to leave the island—we simply ask you to give what you feel the performance is worth.
